It could happen to anyone...

But, you'd think it wouldn't happen to a US Senator!

By now we all know that Osama Bin Laden was shot and killed by US Special Forces in a gun fight Sunday May 1st.  In the aftermath of coverage we have learned that, for the time being, President Barack Obama has no plans to release a death photo of the terrorist leader. A step that was taken by the previous administration upon the death of Uday and Qusay Hussien back in 2003.

With no official death photo to be released that doesn't mean that there aren't "official" photos floating around the internet. Some look real others...not so much. But, you would think that a US Senator would have the best information he could before he went on TV to say that he had seen the proof and that Bin Laden was dead.

Sadly, that's not the case with Senator Scott Brown ...senator Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) ... or Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.)...

You have to feel bad for these guys for looking a fool like this. You'd also have to think that the staffer who gave them the info is probably feeling even worse.

On the bright side those guys are probably taking some personal time to flesh out their resume!  I just hope that the "trusted source" that the article I read wasn't referring to a link on Facebook or Twitter! (#justsaying)

The Best of Twitter -- Pt. 4 ... "news"

The final installment in my look at my twitter follow list will center on the "news" feeds that I follow. These are by no means the be all end all of the twitter news options out there...but these are the few that I follow on a daily basis and if you consider yourself a geek/techo nerd some of them you should follow too.

Get the latest news on everything tech related. From the newest computer games, to the newest video game. They were also one of the first sites to point out the antenna problem with the iPhone 4. If it wasn't for this Twitter feed I probably wouldn't have ended up with the free bumber case I have on my phone.

Den of Geek -- @dennofgeek

A great British site that is devoted to all things geek. If you are a fan of: Comics, TV shows, movies and games then give them a shot. Also, I suggest adding the full site to your reading list. It's and easy way to kill a few hours at work. Fans of Dr.Who, Torchwood and all things British comedy/sci fi should find this site to their liking. With daily gossip on what's going on in Hollywood and beyond making the Twitter feed and site a daily addition is a good idea!

SyFy -- @blastr

Updates on all the goings on in the Syfy world. Not just limited to the Syfy channel. Here you will find rumors on upcoming projects. Pictures from set and all manner of trailers. If you miss a week you can also tune into their weekly review where they look at not only the top stories...but the top reader comments to those stories. Maybe they'll make you famous! (I also reccomend the iPhone app)

Talk about learning things you never knew you needed to know! Ever wondered what the rarest video game is? How about famous killers who were executed even though the people they were conviced of killing later turned up alive? If stories like that and enough geek related quizzes to make your mind spin is what gets you though your day then you probably already follow them and their site...and get the magazine. I'm a Whore...

I really am a whore for whatever seems to be the new IT thing (as long as it won't cost me an arm and a leg).

When looking for a new car I was looking for a few things:

1) Great Gas Milage

2) Cool Factor (for a decent price)

3) Fun add ons

So I went with a 2008 Ford Focus 30+ MPG, decent price and look, Microsoft SYNC system and a free iphone!

When it came time get into gaming I had to grab the xbox 360 (which was the pimp shit at the time) but, I had to wait until I could get a great deal through Microsoft!

I have successfully upgraded my Ipod everytime a new model has come out...(sucker for apple).

Now I have jumped on the new blog fad...TWITTER. Not really 100% sure how committed I am to using it...but it could come in handy should I ever find myself thrown into an Egyptian jail.

Better to be safe than sory I guess!

Politics, Politics, Politics...

For those lucky few living across the pond, who don't have to deal with the level of political farce that we in the states deal with, this one's for you.

Sometime in the near future you may have the honor of being represented by MP Eddie Izzard! Do you hear that? It's European politics getting a little more interesting.

The quick overview is that a bunch of 3rd graders got pissed at their teacher...and brought a knife, duct tape, handcuffs, and a heavy crystal paperweight to school to "hurt" the teacher.

But, it seems that some parents think it was more than likely they wanted to kill the teacher!

WTF?! Seriously...WTF?!

Both my parents are teachers and I always thought that if one of them was going to be attacked at school it would be my father the High School English Teacher...I didn't even think that my Mom, Third Grade Teacher, would even have to worry about shit like this.

As licensed mental health counselor Audrey Dearborn said in the article, "Before you would see these types of behavior in high school. Now, we've skipped the middle school and gone right to the third grade"

I want to be honest, that scares the hell out of me. Thank god I don't have any kids!
