D.W.B--part 2

Goodbye Illinois!

Hello Missouri ... Final stop for the day should be Oklahoma City. Really need to find a Best Buy since I just broke my power inverter. Sadly that means I can't listen to the 20,000 songs on my hard drive!

Right now I have a 90's retro weekend show on. Don't know if that is really cool or if it makes me sad that the 90's are considered "retro"!

hello new Salem

We are now in New Salem, illinois...population 12 (and a dog named colin) bonus points if you actually got the Blackadder reference!

Tomorrow it's off to Oklahoma City by way of St. Louis! 13 hours on the road is going to suck my soul!!!

D.W.B

D.W.B-- Diving while bloging

By any standards a dumb thing to do! But, here I am doing it anyway! Never claimed to be bright!

So far the trip had consisted of me listening to the new Watson Twins cd (Fire Songs)...and the new Motley Crue cd (Saints of Los Angeles)!

FYI---the crüe still rock!

Goodbye -- Illinois

As of this hour....I am on the road heading out of Illinios into the sunset (ARIZONA).

I guess there is no turning back now! Well...there is turning back..but why would I want to!?

Safe at Home...

Just booked my room back at the Joshua Tree Inn for this summer!

I am looking forward to spending another night in Room 8....the Gram Parsons room.

This time I will have my buddy Ryan (AKA the man who introduced me to Gram) along for the ride!

All I can say is...it will be sweet!

Crash Landing...

Since I will be gone at the end of this week for a few days on the road and won't be able to update the site more than a few live blogs...here is the D-Bag Winner. Really...it's just because he made me laugh!

Associated Press
Alton, Texas Monday, June 23

Authorities say an inmate trying to flee a Texas city jail crashed through the ceiling into a police chief's empty office.

Police say 17-year-old Jesus Albert Suarez Chavez and 22-year-old Roman Orozco Martinez tried to escape through air conditioning ducts of the Alton city jail around 3 a.m. Saturday, but had been spotted by a dispatcher monitoring security video.

One of the inmates fell through the ceiling into the office of Police Chief Baldemar Flores. The second inmate was trying to get into the vent.

Flores said he didn't know which inmate fell through the ceiling, only that the vents were very small.

Chavez and Martinez are charged with burglary of a vehicle, evading arrest, resisting arrest, assault on a public servant and making a terrorist threat. They are now being held in the Hidalgo County Jail.

A jail official says no attorneys are listed for the pair

Hot Water...

Here is another fun clip I found. If only American reality TV was this good I would probably watch something other than USA and FX during the summer!

OK...I'm confused...

Most of the other shows I have found do seem to have some point....not this one!!

NUTS!

In and effort to prepare for the upcoming "I Survived a Japanese Game Show" I have decided to post one clip a day from some of my favorite shows...God Bless YouTube.

First up...a show that seems to be tagged everywhere I look as "Nut Shot" and for good reasons.

Cards Can't Catch A Break...

Sucks to be the Cards right now...I think they are an injury away from having LaRussa come back and play the field!

Random Thought...

While reading an interview with Naveen Andrews (of the greatest show on TV..LOST) over at E!.com's Watch With Kristen section I got to thinking after this question....

Steve Jones, the former Sex Pistol, guided you to your first AA meeting. How did you get to know him?

I met him at a dinner party in L.A., and I was shocked to meet somebody who had been in that band who was not completely drugged out. I found that really intriguing, and it made me think, "If he's done it, then maybe I've got a chance."--Naveen Andrews

My thought is....what does that second "A" stand for in AA?

Happy Day!

Enjoy Friday the 13th!

God...I am really looking for things to do today!!

D-Bag of the Week (possibly the Month)

Well it has been a few weeks since we last had a D-Bag of the Week winner. I have been busy getting things in order for a move to Arizona at the end of the month.

But, when I heard this story I knew this tool needed to be called out again. I would have felt bad if I hadn't had a chance to get my two cents in on a guy who, in my humble opinion, comes in a close second to the "incest dad" of a few months ago as the biggest D-Bag I have ever read about.

So way to go...former Lance Cpl. David Motari!!
YOU ARE A GIANT BAG OF DOUCHE!!

Mexican Father's Day Vacation Anyone?

Associated Press,
(June 12, 2008)

ESCOBEDO, Mexico - Men in the northern Mexican town of Escobedo are likely to have a happy Father's Day, thanks to a mayor who is handing out free Viagra and condoms.

Mayor Margarita Martinez says the handouts are part of a campaign aimed at raising awareness about male health problems.

Martinez say a strong family "requires a healthy man, and a healthy sex life is part of general health."

The campaign includes a team of doctors and nurses who give free health exams and determine which men could be given the pills, which are donated by pharmacies. Thursday's handout was arranged to coincide with Father's Day.

Security guard Jose Isabel Rico was among the recipients.

"Of course I'm going to use the pills," he said. "We'll see what they do."

Of pissing me off...but not of Child Porn Charges! A jury in Chicago has just acquitted the "Trapped in the Closet" singer of all charges relate to his alleged sex tape.
Not that I really care one way or the other...but the moving mole defense is almost as funny as: "If the glove don't fit...you must acquit" -- God Bless Johnnie Cochrane.

Which fight is better???

Zambrano -vs- Barrett?

Ramirez -vs- Youkilis

I have to give extra points for the Ramires fight since it was in the game that James Shields plunked CoCo Crisp!

Good-Bye (and good-riddance)

News sources have confirmed that, Citing a pattern of behavior that is detrimental to the team....

The Chicago Bears have cut Running Back Cedric Benson.

Don't let the training camp door hit ya on the ass on the way out!

If you wouldnt mind leaving the football and jersey in the trash on the way out of the building that would be great!

Seems that drunken boating and drunken driving charges are just too much for the Bears to deal with!

What a shocker!! Well, really...no. As soon as the word came down last week that he had been arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence (or whatever the Texas equivelant is) i knew he was finished as a Bear.

Since they didn't give Tank Johnson a chance to plead his case after his arrest (and he turned out to not even be drunk!) I had a feeling that it was only a matter of time until Chicago had their office staff run out and buy some pink paper to give Benson his walking slip.

That being said...I think the Jets need a new RB!!

Sulking over...Time for FUN...

Now that I have finished my introspective...self loathing period of the day, time to look at something that has me a little more excited!

ABC to premeire: I Survived a Japanese Game Show!

From the website: "I Survived A Japanese Game Show has begun shooting in Japan and will premiere TUESDAY, JUNE 24 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) on ABC. This unscripted reality/game show takes an eye-opening, behind-the-scenes look at 10 Americans - many of whom have never traveled outside the United States -- who are whisked away to Japan and compete in the ultimate Japanese game show...with hilarious results. The final winner will take home $250,000. Guiding the American players through their stay in Japan will be Host/Interpreter Tony Sano (Spring Break in Japan, Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight), an American actor who is fluent in Japanese; a house mother and resident pot stirrer, Mamasan; and the witty Game Show Host Rome Kanda (Pink Panther, Saturday Night Live), who leads the contestants through all of the zany challenges."

or if we are lucky maybe we will get to see some poor american schmuck get abused on something similar to my favorite Japanese Game Show of All Time... SILENT LIBRARY!

A Guy can dream!!

Move West Young Man...

So I just realized that I am about to leave Illinois for one last...last time! Barring the state of Arizona being listed as a wasteland and off limits to the general public, I don't think I am ever coming back!

It's kind of a strange feeling now that I am thinking about it!

When I moved to California I always knew that I would be back to this area to see my parents. But, now that I am moving to AZ at the same time as my parents...and with my sister being out there already! I don't know if I will find a whole lot of reason to come rolling back though central Illinois.

Unless my friends decide to stay around here...which is looking less and less likely, I don't see a whole lot of vacation trips to Central Illinois.

Not sure why I got thinking about that...but, I did!

Blagh....

How is it that I am still about four weeks away from moving to Arizona and I am feeling stressed?

I have nothiing to pack really. My whole room will fit into like four rubbermaid tub, and the trunk of my car!

I guess it's the whole, "Still haven't heard back on my job!" front. Seems like it won't be a problem to transfer to AZ but...until I hear a solid YES your on our schedule, it's a little strange.

I would like to say my move to Cali taught me something about moving with no job! But, we will see!
